The goal of the College's planning is to establish and convey the Board of Regent’s priorities for ACP in order to guide the management of ACP and ACP Services as they design, fund, and implement programs, products, policies and services during the next couple of years.
To accomplish this goal, the Board of Regents holds a biennial planning retreat during which it assesses the environment and progress toward previous initiatives, and establishes priorities for the next few fiscal years. Participants in the planning retreat include the members of the Board of Regents, Executive Committee Board of Governors, Senior Staff, the Immediate Past President, Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Regents, and Vice Chair/Chairs-elect of the Councils of Student Members, Resident/Fellow Members and Early Career Physicians.
ACP Staff is responsible for developing implementation plans and focusing resources on the College's priority themes, with input from the Board of Regent’s committees and councils.
