CPT Veronica K. Wright, MD Joins Governor's Council as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Representative
(April 2021) The U.S. Army Chapter is delighted to welcome CPT Wright to the leadership team. CPT Wright will be working on a number of initiatives including assisting with DEI-specific planning for the annual Tri-Service meeting, revising and maintaining responsibility for updating our Chapter Diversity Policy, working with the Governor on DEI-specific programming as linked to our National Day of Service, National Grand Rounds, etc., advising the Awards Committee on ensuring our processes for soliciting and selecting award winners are attentive to DEI, and advising the Governor on outreach efforts to recruit and retain members of diverse backgrounds, and to work toward equity in advancement to FACP and MACP.
U.S. Army Chapter Members Lead Efforts to Take on COVID-19
(2020-21) Many members of the Chapter deployed in support of COVID operations. MAJ R David Anderson, DO, deployed to Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst in NJ providing medical support to the 13 Reserve UAMTF units throughout the region. He spent some time at the JAVITS Center with his team, before they dispersed to fall in on medical support activities in Philadelphia and Boston. LTC (Ret) Michael Siclari, MD, MACP volunteered to provide care to patients in the Emergency Department at the Providence VA.
