Congratulations to Amanda Galambas & Bradley Lutz: The Winners of the Medical Student Poster Competition

(November 2020) Congratulations to our winners (see here with Dr. Monger)! Amanda Galambas from Gillette was honored for her poster “The Pediatric ‘Spine at Risk’ Program: 9-year Review of a Novel Safety Screening Tool at a Single Institution”, and Bradley Lutz of Casper for “Social Interventions in Treatment of HIV/AIDS Population: Cheyenne, Wyoming”.


Dr. Mike Wilk recipient of the 2020 Wyoming ACP Teacher of the Year Award

(October 2020) The Wyoming Chapter of the American College of Physicians Teacher of the Year Award honors Dr. Mike Wilk for his extraordinary work with medical students and his dedication to improving medical education. Dr. Mike Wilk is a hospitalist at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, specializing in internal medicine.


Dr. Kirtikumar Patel recipient of the 2020 Wyoming ACP Lifetime Achievement Award

(October 2020) Dr. Kirtikumar Patel received the 2020 Wyoming Chapter of the American College of Physicians Lifetime Achievement Award. This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of a Wyoming Chapter ACP member who has dedicated his life to medicine, teaching and community service.


Thomas H. Neithammer, MD, FACP recipient of the 2020 Wyoming ACP Laureate Award

(October 2020) Dr. Neithammer received the Laureate Award for his many years of outstanding contributions to medicine. The Laureate Award honors Fellows and Masters of the College who have demonstrated by their example and conduct an abiding commitment to excellence in medical care, education, or research and in service to their community, their Chapter, and the American College of Physicians.


UW School of Medicine Welcomes Dr. Robert M. Monger as the New Wyoming WWAMI Assistant Dean for Clinical Medical Education

(April 2020) Our Chapter Governor, Robert Monger, M.D., F.A.C.P., has been named the new clinical dean for Wyoming WWAMI. He began this position on August 1, 2020. Dr. Monger, raised in Cheyenne, WY, is an internist with the Cheyenne Regional Medical Group. He has been active in medical education for more than 20 years, and specifically with the UW School of Medicine (UWSOM) since the mid-2000s.
