I would first like to thank you for the opportunity and
privilege of serving as Governor for our chapter of the American
College of Physicians. I have been involved with the College since
I was a resident, and have a deep respect for its traditions and
hard work to maintain and improve high quality medical care for our
patients. I also wish to thank my predecessors, Dr. Muñiz
and Dr. Jimenez Velazquez, as well as the chapter council, for
their hard work and dedication. I look forward to working with all
of you for the betterment of our chapter.
In the next few weeks we should be finalizing our working plans
for the next year. The first event will be the medical vignette
competition, which has always been of the highest scientific
caliber, and showcases the enthusiasm and thirst for learning of
our Resident/Fellow Members. Please remember all physicians,
including those in practice, are welcome to submit abstracts.
Once again I express my gratitude for this opportunity. I look
forward to seeing our chapter thrive over the next four years, and
Jose Lozada-Costas, MD, FACP
