Candidate Statement:
It is an honor to be considered an ACP Governor Candidate. I believe my 20 years experience in ambulatory and hospital medicine (outpatient practice at main campus, Cleveland Clinic and in an underserved community of East Cleveland along with quarterly hospital service) provides me with a strong practical foundation from which to understand some of the challenges that today’s internist/hospitalist face. I have always regarded the ACP as my ‘Home Organization’ and I have tried to stay active with my local Chapter. As Governor, I would hope to continue the strong work the chapter does in regards to its Annual Meeting, its Membership and FACP outreach, its sound financial stewardship and advocacy work. As Governor, I would work to expand our local state level advocacy work, enhance outreach to our medical students/residents, increase focus on work stressors we face in practice and expand our social media presence.
