Joshua C. Ranum, MD, FACP

North Dakota Chapter College Awards

Dr. Julie Blehm selected for advancement to Mastership

Dr. Blehm was officially recognized with ACP Mastership during the 2021 Internal Medicine Meeting. Masterships are awarded because of “personal character, positions of honor, contributions towards furthering the purposes of the ACP, eminence in practice or in medical research, or other attainments in science or in the art of medicine.” Before retirement, Dr. Blehm served as Senior Medical Director at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, Department Chair of Clinic Internal Medicine at Sanford Health for nine years, Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Continuity Clinic and Associate Dean of the SE campus of UNDSMHS. She is a past Governor of the ACP North Dakota Chapter.

2023 Chapter Excellence Award

We are pleased to announce that our chapter is in receipt of the Silver Level of the 2023 Chapter Excellence Award! Only 11 chapters received the Silver Award. The award recognizes chapters that achieve excellence in chapter management. In order to achieve the Chapter Excellence Award, chapters must meet nineteen Bronze criteria and seventeen Silver criteria. Criteria include such activities as undertaking efforts to increase advocacy efforts, collaborating with stakeholders to increase visibility of the ACP, holding competitions for members, providing chapter financial reports to members, having Medical Student and Resident/Fellow members on the Governor's Advisory council, retaining transitional and unpaid members, giving awards to chapter members.
