Fadel Nammour, MD, FACP, ACP Governor
Message from the Governor
The April Internal Medicine Meeting in Philadelphia witnessed a changing of the guard at the ACP ND Chapter. I am grateful and honored to be your governor for the next 4 years. This is your chapter and I hope we will be able to pursue and build on all the work and improvement achieved by previous governors. I take this opportunity to thank our immediate past Governor Dr. Neville Alberto for his leadership and will count on his support and guidance throughout my term.

National Internal Medicine Meeting/ BOG Meeting
The North Dakota Chapter had 20 members registered for the IM 2019 annual meeting in Philadelphia.
Dr. Rekha Kallamadi participated in the Convocation Ceremony with Dr. Neville Alberto - Governor and Dr. Fadel Nammour - Governor Elect

A team of three residents represented North Dakota for Doctor's Dilemma - Dr. Riley Clark, Dr. Erik Heitkamp, and Dr. Kevin Moran

Dr. Minnu Monu, PGY3, presented her poster “Spontaneous Heparin Induced Thrombocytopenia following Total Knee Arthoplasty”

We had two medical students that won at our local poster competition and planned to present at the national meeting, however, due to an April blizzard in ND they were unable to travel to

ACP Leadership Day
The ACP Leadership Day for 2019 will be held on May 14-15 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, DC. Leadership Day is the College's annual two-day advocacy event in Washington, DC that enables our members from across the country to bring our issues of concern to U.S. lawmakers. This is a great opportunity for the College and our members to bring our policy priorities to Congress and try to influence the legislative process on behalf of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Fadel Nammour and Dr. Stephanie Melquist, PGY1, will participate on behalf of the North Dakota Chapter.
2019 Chapter Meeting
Our North Dakota Chapter Meeting https://www.acponline.org/node/292537 will be held on October 3 & 4 at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in West Fargo. We will join the North Dakota Medical Association again this year. It is an excellent opportunity to expand our clinical knowledge, hear from our ACP leadership and interact with fellow internists. I hope to meet many of you there and renew acquaintances and friendships.
