Candidate Statement: I am deeply honored to have been nominated as the Governor-Elect for the Upstate Region for NYACP. My journey with NYACP has been incredibly fulfilling and rewarding. I have gained valuable insights, support and mentorship from my fellow NYACP members, and now, I am eagerly looking forward to serving them. As Governor, I am committed to engaging and empowering medical students, residents, and early career physicians to cultivate a robust leadership pipeline through networking, mentorship, and developing strong leadership capabilities. Additionally, I aim to create a networking platform for female colleagues and implement strategies to address disparities within our organization. One key to achieving these goals is to expand the NYACP team by increasing recruitment and engaging and retaining current members through meaningful activities to foster a sense of belonging to our organization. I am excited and eager to work and collaborate with each and every one of you!

I believe we need to plan for leadership and strategically seek for mentorship.
Candidate Statement: ACP’s commitment to high-quality patient care attracted me to join in 2012, and I have found a home there since. As I fear for the future of Outpatient Internal Medicine under our current system, I feel there is a larger role for ACP to play. As the Chair of the Health and Public Policy Committee of NYACP, I am working closely with our members to develop advocacy priorities and foster relationships with our legislature focused on Primary Care. As Governor, I believe that I would be in a better position to engage and expand our membership as well as to lead our chapter on the national level so that we might harness our collective creativity, leadership, and voices for Primary Care to not only weather the current stresses to the system but also expand in a new direction while still preserving the basics: high-quality patient care.
