Councilor since 2012; Secretary since 2017; Chair, Public Policy and Advocacy Committee (currently reestablishing) 2018; Co-Chair, Early Career Physicians Committee 2011-2015; Founder and Chair, Women in Medicine Subcommittee 2015-2016; Annual Scientific Meeting Planning Committee 2015, 2018; Judge, Poster Competition, Annual Scientific Meeting since 2012; Recent advocacy work: Advanced resolution regarding access to abortion as an essential component of women’s health care from NM chapter to national ACP; passed by both Board of Governors and Regents, is now official ACP policy. Leading stakeholder coalition including New Mexico ACP to work with state medical board towards improving language in medical licensing application regarding health history of applicants. Chair of a neutral forum on policy and ethical issues related to physician aid in dying co-sponsored by NMACP and the GAMA.
