I am honored to be nominated for Governor of the NH Chapter of the ACP. I have been involved in the ACP starting with my training at Dartmouth and continuing through 21 years of involvement on the Governor's Council and believe strongly in the College's mission. Like it or not, medicine is at a crossroads as the profession is moving to population and value-based reimbursement. Internists, whether office or hospital-based, need to be at the forefront in shaping this transition and that can best be accomplished through the educational activities and collective voice of the ACP. By including as many of the state's internists as possible and by encouraging our students and residents to embrace Internal Medicine, together, as a strong NH Chapter, we can shape that discussion for the betterment of our patients and our profession.
