Centennial Legacy Award: Nebraska Chapter - Rowen K. Zetterman, MD, MACP

The Chapter Centennial Legacy Award celebrates ACP's centennial by recognizing one influential chapter member who served the chapter and made a significant impact on the chapter's viability. The award winner should exemplify ACP's core values, including leadership, excellence, respect, compassion, professionalism, and responsibility.
Rowen K. Zetterman, MD, MACP has supported internal medicine in Nebraska including leadership positions at medical schools and the Omaha VA. Dr. Zetterman was the Chair of the Board of Regents from 2000-2001, and served on the Board of Regents for six years. He also held the position of Chair of the Board of Governors from 1996-1997 and was the Nebraska Chapter Governor from 1992-1996. Dr. Zetterman was the President of the Metropolitan Omaha Medical Society and the Nebraska Medical Association. Currently, he group convened by the Nebraska Legislature that studies the transformation of Nebraska's healthcare system. He is admired by others for his professionalism, integrity, thoughtfulness and compassion, and for always putting patients first.
