Attention UNMC and Creighton Medical Students and Internal Medicine Residents:

The Nebraska Chapter of the American College of Physicians (ACP) will hold its annual ACP Associate and Student member poster competition on Thursday, October 23rd at the CenturyLink Conference Center from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The winning resident and the winning student will be funded (up to $1,500) to travel to Boston, MA to present their work at the national ACP Internal Medicine 2015 meeting, April 30-May 2, 2015.

Please use the abstract form for your submission, which can be completed and submitted online. Regulations for abstract submissions are shown below.

Please note that authors must be ACP members prior to submitting the abstract. Membership for students is free and an application form can be completed online. Residents can also complete an online membership application. Please allow three days after applying for membership before submitting your abstract.

Also, please note that you must register for the annual meeting. Please RSVP your intent to attend to lauriebraun@sio.midco.net.

No abstracts will be accepted after 5:00 pm (central) June 20, 2014. Applicants will be notified by August 1 whether the abstract has been accepted for presentation.

  • This year, only thirty posters will be chosen for display. Therefore, competitors should submit their best case, as only one from each primary author will be accepted.

More detailed information about how to prepare an abstract and poster may be found at the ACP Web site. This site refers specifically to the national abstract and poster competition, but the same principles apply for presenting at our chapter meeting.
