During the last few months, our Maryland Student Committee has
been working on a project that features some of our wonderful ACP
community physicians at work. The goal was to highlight some of our
ACP members who work in the community and the breadth of
opportunity in Internal Medicine. It also provided a great
opportunity to role model physicians in the community, as students
don't get exposed to them as much.
The students then looked at ways that this could be easily
accomplished, and the idea of developing a video that would
highlight our practicing physicians was created. We are so very
pleased and wish to thank our practicing doctors who participated
in this video, including Drs. Mary Newman (Greenspring), Amy Byrd
(Lutherville), Robert Greenfield (Annapolis), Saba Sheikh
(Columbia), Ali Afrookteh (Frederick), and Raymond Zollinger
This video was recently shown at our student social on June 7th.
We congratulate our students on the success of this activity and
also for this amazing video.
We hope that you will take the opportunity to view the video.
