Parting Thoughts from the Governor

It’s a bittersweet time for me, as this was my last Chapter meeting as Governor of the Maryland ACP Chapter. I truly believe we have one of the best chapters in the country, and that our scientific meetings are the best in the entire ACP. We provide our internists, subspecialists, residents and students with the most up-to-date information on advances in clinical care, health policy, and ACP activities.

It was my goal to make this the best meeting of my four year tenure, and I believe that I accomplished this goal - best planning group - best topics - best presenters -best audience. Kudos to our Co-Chair Dr. Ali Afrookteh, who not only makes sure that the topics are of interest to our internists and subspecialties, but also takes the opportunity to have his wonderful jazz band present at our reception.

Please be sure to view the pictures that capture the flavor of the meeting, as well as the speaker presentations slides.

Thanks again for allowing me to be your Governor for the last four years - I could not have done it without the support and commitment of all of the wonderful and engaged members of the Maryland ACP.
