2022 Doctor's Dilemma Recap

We were once again amazed and impressed with our Doctor's Dilemma (DD) contest held on February 27th - in person for the first time in almost 2 years.  We had 10 teams - 6 heats with over 250 questions answered in the process, 15 judges this year, and 5 hardworking Chief Residents who were able to adapt to our situation effortlessly.

We are pleased to note that Sinai Hospital was our first place winner (Drs. Nasir Alhamdan, Rishabh Bansal, Paul Dy, Ahlaa Salim (alternate), with a combination team from Walter Reed (Drs. Kathryn Flynn, Zachary Haynes), St. Agnes Hospital (Aleksei Kondrashov) & MHIM (Ashik Pokharel) in second place and GBMC (Drs. Michael Atkinson, Siddharta Guru, Fatima Halilu, Fazi Wazeen  Kiai Persuad (Alternate) in third place.  Congratulations to our final heat teams, but also to all of the teams that participated in this year's contest.  We are delighted to have the strong support of all of our programs in this contest.

The DD committee has also addressed concerns that arose at this year’s event.

Thanks to the following:

The Judges and Moderators who spent their Sunday afternoon ensuring that the contest was run in fun and fair manner.  CRAB members & co-chairs who manned the buzzers, kept score and made sure that the grid for the contest all went smoothly - Drs. Sihan Ji (AAMC), Peter Huh (KP), Shashi Yalamanchili (Sinai), Sahib Singh (GBMC) and Harsh Patel (UMMC/Midtown).

Finally and most importantly, thanks to Dr. Janaki Deepak who begins the process of developing questions and making sure that the meeting is run perfectly back in October.  We could not do this without her!

We thank you so much for your activities on behalf of our MD ACP!

See below photos from this event.   We look forward to seeing everyone 2023!
