The Doctors DilemmaTM held at our recent Chapter meeting was once again not only very interesting and entertaining. This year all of our programs participated in the event with a total of 12 teams. Thanks to all of the judges who took time out of their Saturday activities to assist us with this contest. Special thanks to Drs. Janaki Deepak, our Dilemma advisor, who not only takes all of the questions and places them on the grid for us, but ensures that the questions are all reasonable and MKSAP related, as well as Dr. David Zolet, who reviews and checks the questions to make the contest runs as smoothly as possible. We also appreciate all of the chief residents who act as scorekeepers, buzzer watchers, and AV personnel during this session.
Another interesting ending occurred this year as the winners of the contest were the Army team including: Drs. Ryan Jones, Joe Maciuba, Mike McMahon and Sarah Ordway;
The Maryland Chapter winners were from Harbor Hospital Center: Drs. Brittany Duchene, Aneesah Jaumally, Ahmed Salem, Mikhal Shipotko, and the finalists were from the UMMS Midtown Campus: Drs. Kwabena Asafo-Agyei, Prashant Bhandari, and Amrit Pathak.
We thank all of our programs for their assistance in getting the “word out” to our residents regarding the contest. The attached slides will give you some of the flavor of the day.
Enjoy some photos from the event, and thanks to all who participated!
