The ACP has been key in leadership development and a forum for like-minded clinicians here in Hawaii. I am interested in serving my chapter as Governor to further contribute to both the Chapter and National Organization, but also to give what I can of my time to this organization which has given so much to me. Service in a leadership position brings many benefits, notably the opportunity to make a real impact in the direction and policy of this national organization with a vital role in health care. One of the most rewarding experiences for me at the local level has been working with our members and our residents to put on the annual CME event. I can think of no bigger honor than participation in the fulfillment of our organization's vision and mission.
