The ACP DC Chapter will hold its 2013 Associates' Abstract and
Medical Jeopardy Competition at Providence Hospital on Saturday,
May 18. Dr. Kamal Sethi is chairing the program.
We have asked each program director to submit one clinical
vignette and one research from their program as podium
presentations. The presentations should be 8 minutes in length with
2 minutes allowed for questions. The top two of these will be the
DC Chapter's representatives to Internal Medicine 2014. There will
also be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place chosen.
Secondly, each program is asked to submit 2 clinical vignettes
and 2 research abstracts for the poster competition.
In addition we are opening up the competition for more
submissions. These abstracts are to be submitted online through the
DC Chapter Web site using the submission
form. Those received will be blinded and sent to a panel of
judges who will score them. The top 16 will be poster presenters.
We would hope that all residents who are not chosen by their
program use this opportunity to submit (and gain a line on their

There will be cash prizes awarded to those abstracts ranked 1st,
2nd, and 3rd for both oral and poster presentations.
