Welcome to the New and Improved Delaware Chapter Web site!

Welcome to the New and Improved Delaware Chapter Web site!

Over the past year we've been working hard to bring some major improvements to this site. For starters, some of our content has been reorganized to group together similar content under the same sections. As an example, we've combined a section for "News & Meetings" which will contain all the latest information on chapter meetings, newsletters and dates of interest.

We've also improved several structural elements of the Chapter Web site. For example, it now has a user-friendly navigation structure to reduce the amount of scrolling through a page to locate the information you are searching for. The navigational system will consist of three columns: the left column will contain national ACP links; the center column will feature the main Chapter links and the right column will highlight What's New on the Chapter's Web site and the Chapter's contact. In addition, the top banner will allow you to easily identify the information you are looking for on the Chapter's Web site. This new structure will contribute to reduce time spent searching and allow you to quickly attain the information desired.

Here's a review of the major reorganizations to the Chapter's Web site:

  • The "About the Chapter" section has been created to make it much easier to identify your Chapter Governor and Governor's Council plus navigate through the Chapter's Bylaws, Annual Report and identify key member services and benefits.
  • The "News & Meetings" section more accurately describes the non-clinical medical news going on within the chapter such as our local committee activities. In addition, check here for all the most recent meeting information from the chapter as well as other CME opportunities.
  • The "Residents & Medical Students" section will include links to local and national support from our councils, discussion groups, educational and career resources, guidelines for preparing an abstract, CME opportunities, Observer articles for Associates and Students, and Residency Program and selection assistance.
  • The new "Public Policy & Advocacy" section includes all of the Chapter's advocacy programs in one place for easy reference as well as links to Legislative Action Center, Key Contact Program, Legislative Agenda, direct links to local legislators and other advocacy resources.
  • The "Members Only" section houses the ACP Member Directory and, in some cases, Chapter Membership Roster. This is where you can access other Member restricted access sites on ACP Online such as our clinical journals, guidelines, decision support tools and recertification assistance.
  • The "Local Links & Resources" section groups together all the reference tools and services, including the Practice Management Center, local medical organizations, other key societies, local health plans, and patient education resources.

This site has been developed to keep internists in Delaware and our membership up to date on developments and activities in our Chapter. The Delaware Chapter is dedicated to improving its members' lives so we can continue to provide the highest quality of medical care and we sincerely hope these improvements respond to your professional.

Tell us what you think of our new look! We'd love to hear from you.
