The Chapter Centennial Legacy Award celebrates ACP's centennial
by recognizing one seminal chapter member whose service to the
chapter had a significant impact on the chapter's viability. This
individual should exemplify ACP's core values including:
Read about the state awardee and join us in congratulating
Virginia Collier, MD, MACP has been important leader in ACP,
both in the Delaware Chapter and at the national level. She was
Governor of the chapter from 2000-2004, and susequently served a
three year term as Regent. In 2009, she was named Laureate of the
Delaware Chapter, and she was elected to Mastership in the College
in 2012. She has served on numerous ACP committees, is an associate
editor for the MKSAP, and is the author of numerous articles on
medical education. She is the Hugh R. Sharp, Jr. Chair of Medicine
at Christiana Care Health System, and Professor of Medicine at
Jefferson Medical College. She is a superb administrator as well as
consummate clinician and educator.
