I have followed the chapter activities since the beginning when
Dr. Beker, the first Governor, advised me to become a Member and in
the year 2000. I attended the Annual meeting where I became a
Fellow. I have been an Internal Medicine (IM) specialist since
1980, dedicated to attend patients at the hospital. I also started
an Academic career at the IM Department until the present. I have
been teaching IM to both graduate and undergraduate students. I
have been more focused in dementia research mainly in epidemiology
and its risk factors.
I am proud to be a Candidate and if elected, I will integrate to
all ACP international activities as well as any required duties. I
think it will be a challenge to overcome the magnificent job all
past Governors has done, however I will encourage more students and
physicians to become an ACP member. The Annual meeting will
incorporate research topic in the agenda.
