2018 Governor-elect Election Biographical Sketch and Candidate Statement - Mexico
The ballots for the current Governors-elect election have been mailed. The voting membership (Masters, Fellows, Members, and Resident/Fellow Members with an elect date of 9/1/2016 or earlier) can vote online or mail-in ballot.
You will need your mailed ballot or election email containing your ACP Member Number and Election Passcode in order to vote. Below are the bios and statements of the candidates that are running in this election. Online voting begins on September 21, 2018 and will end on November 9, 2018 at 11:59 PM Eastern. Candidate Statement:
Como Médicos Internistas aplicamos en la atención diaria de los pacientes conocimiento científico y experiencia; mejorar la calidad de la atención, fomentar la excelencia y el profesionalismo de la práctica médica son retos que el ACP Mexico Chapter tiene con sus miembros. De ser electa como Gobernadora del Capítulo propongo: Organizar reuniones científicas anuales; Unificar las distintas voces de la Medicina Interna mediante la cooperación con diferentes sociedades médicas en México; Promover la afiliación entre jóvenes internistas; Reconocer las contribuciones de los integrantes del Capítulo; Reintegrar a los miembros no activos; Incrementar el Interés en la Medicina Interna entre estudiantes de pregrado; Promover el contacto con y entre los miembros del Capítulo para el desarrollo de proyectos en redes sociales y páginas web; Proyección internacional del Capítulo a través de reuniones científicas con Capítulos internacionales; Transmitir la importancia de la atención del médico internista a grupos vulnerables.

Candidate Statement:
Es un placer saludarle y manifestar el firme propósito de seguir colaborando con la ACP para el fortalecimiento y crecimiento del mismo en México. Es un gran desafío, pero la experiencia adquirida, tanto administrativa como académica, serán las herramientas para lograrlo. Asi mismo, con el espíritu de compañerismo y el trabajo de los médicos internistas, estoy seguro de que podemos impulsar fuertemente el crecimiento del ACP en México con base en varios ejes de trabajo. Aumentando la presencia del ACP en México, informando de los beneficios, principalmente académicos al pertenecer al ACP. Estrechar los lazos entre los miembros de la ACP y el capítulo Mexicano, lo que mejorara las reuniones teniendo mayor productividad en los foros donde se reunen los medicos internistas del pais.
