Khan Abul Kalam Azad, MBBS, MD, MACP selected for advancement to Mastership

(May 2021) Dr. Azad was officially recognized with ACP Mastership during the 2021 Internal Medicine Meeting. Masterships are awarded because of “personal character, positions of honor, contributions towards furthering the purposes of the ACP, eminence in practice or in medical research, or other attainments in science or in the art of medicine.” Dr. Azad is a senior faculty and head of the department of medicine at Dhaka Medical College. He is a dedicated educator, researcher as well as a renowned physician of Bangladesh. He has actively participated in formulating national guidelines for Tuberculosis, Hypertension, Dengue, Chikungunya, Swine- flu, Nipah Virus and Kala-azar.

Team Bangladesh forms to compete in Asian ACPCON and ACP Doctor's Dilemma Events

(February 2021) Through a rigorous examination process, four residents were selected to form Team Bangladesh and represent our chapter in multiple competitions. The residents are Dr. Mahbub Mayukh Rishad, Dr. Atonu Das, Dr. Sarowar E. Alam, and Dr. Ahid Iqbal. Congratulations!
