GOVERNOR’S MESSAGE
The Atlantic Provinces Chapter held its Annual General Meeting in Halifax on November 26, 2016 followed by a continuing education program. On the Friday evening, an interactive Meet & Greet Reception was hosted for medical students and residents to meet with faculty to discuss career opportunities in medicine. Both events were very successful and my thanks to the planning committee, speakers and participants. We are already starting to plan for the 2017 Annual Scientific Meeting – stay tuned and watch the Canadian Chapters website!
The internal medicine medical student interest group at Memorial University hosted an ACP event which was well attended and well received. It is great to see the interest and engagement amongst students and faculty in ACP activities in Atlantic Canada and we look forward to more events in 2017.
I am very proud to announce that the Chapter has received an ACP Chapter Excellence Award for 2016! Thank you to all committee members and volunteers for their involvement.
Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season.
