About the Council of Associates

The ACP Council of Associates (COA) was formed in 1989 to represent the needs of the rapidly growing Associate membership. It currently represents the interests of over 18,000 residents, fellows, and junior staff internists.

This fourteen-member council includes individuals from the Northeast, South, Midwest, and West regions of the United States, along with a representative each for Canada, Latin America, and the U.S. Uniformed Services.
