EHR Partners Program
In response to member needs for guidance in the selection and implementation of practice-based Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, the ACP is currently developing the EHR Partners Program.
Members who use the resources of the EHR Partners Program will be able to review information on EHR systems that have been certified on baseline functional, security and interoperability criteria by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT).
The sources of this information include:
- Participating vendor responses to a structured Request for Information
- Surveys of ACP members who currently use a particiapting vendor's EHR system
- Vendor demonstration
- Site visits to ACP members who use a participating vendor's system.
In addition to this information, the upcoming EHR Partners Program site will include an interactive selector/comparison tool to assist physicians in narrowing their EHR choices. Physicians will be able to search for EHR systems that match a given set of criteria or directly select a set of EHR system to compare across criteria.
