ACPNetSM Member Demographics
Currently the network has a membership of over 900 internists, representing all 50 states as well as the commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Approximately 25% are located in the Northeast, 20% in the Midwest, 35% in the South, and 20% in the West. The vast majority of ACPNetSM members are general internists, and almost two-thirds practice in solo or group practices as opposed to HMO, hospital, or academic institutions.
