Part D Transition Coverage Extended to 90 Days - HHS Secretary Michael Levitt announced that transitional coverage for a beneficiary's current drugs has been extended to up to 90 days. This will allow patients and their physicians more time to align medication regimens with Part D plan formularies.The secretary also annonced significant improvements in the waiting time for patients using the 1-800-Medicare help line and that the average benficiary premium payment of $25 is about a third lower than had been estimated.
