PHILADELPHIA, February 21, 2013 -- The American College of Physicians (ACP) has named Diane Scott-Lichter as publisher to direct the strategic planning, sales, and operations for all ACP print and digital publishing properties.

ACP is the largest medical specialty organization and the second-largest physician group in the United States. “With a career encompassing both scholarly journals and commercial publications for professional and consumer audiences, Diane is exceptionally qualified to lead the development and implementation of new and innovative approaches to disseminate ACP’s print and digital scientific and educational resources,” said Steven E. Weinberger, MD, FACP, Chief Executive Officer and EVP, ACP.

She has served as vice-chair of the American Heart Association's Scientific Publishing Committee and has been a member of the board of the Society for Scholarly Publishing.
