AmericanEHR Partners offers Meaningful Use attestation data for 444 certified EHR products

Practices can see products that are achieving Meaningful Use and helping users obtain funding

May 6. 2013 -- AmericanEHR Partners has incorporated Meaningful Use attestation data directly from HealthData.gov into its EHR product and comparison searches, enabling providers to see products that are achieving Meaningful Use and helping their users obtain funding as well as how products are performing from a satisfaction perspective.

AmericanEHR Partners provides comprehensive information to support clinicians in the selection and use of EHRs to improve health care delivery. It was founded by the American College of Physicians (ACP) and Cientis Technologies.

“AmericanEHR.com now displays the most current EHR attestation data available in an easy-to-read format,” said Michael S. Barr, MD, MBA, FACP, who leads ACP's Division of Medical Practice. “By using an advanced Meaningful Use attestation search tool, users can now filter results by attestation year, state, specialty, program (Medicare or Medicaid), product setting (ambulatory or inpatient), provider type (EP or hospital), product classification (complete EHR or Modular EHR), or by specific EHR product.”

Practices can use the attestation data to take advantage of EHR incentive programs as they adopt an EHR system for the first time or if they are considering migration to a new EHR system. Current users of EHR systems also can monitor the success that their product is having at achieving Meaningful Use in comparison to competitive products.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is required by the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act, which created the Meaningful Use Incentive program, to conduct attestation audits.
