Requirements for full ACP Membership
Physicians who have been certified in internal medicine, a combined internal medicine specialty, or neurology are eligible for ACP Membership. Physicians who have not been certified, but who have successfully completed training in an acceptable program, are also eligible for ACP Membership. However, all candidates for Membership who reside in Canada and Japan must be certified in internal medicine.

Requirements for Physician Affiliate Membership
ACP’s Physician Affiliate membership category is for physicians who do not meet the requirements for full Membership in the College.
It is important to note that Physician Affiliates are excluded from voting, holding office and attaining Fellowship. They may sit on any committee or council that has open seats for non-members.

Dues Information
ACP’s membership year runs from July 1 to June 30 each year. Dues rates prorated and are valid through June 30, 2014.
