Passports and Visas
Passport Information
Attention: A passport is required to enter Canada.
As of June 2009, everyone wishing to enter Canada by air, land and sea is required to produce a passport. Getting your passport is easy, but requires some advanced planning. To ensure you receive your passport in time, be sure to send in your documents at least six weeks prior to your departure date. Full details on attaining or renewing your passport can be found at travel.state.gov/passport.
Note: If you already have a valid passport, make sure to double check the expiration date as it needs to be valid for six-months following your departure.
Visa Information (For Non-US Passport Holders)
Important: A visa may be required for non-US passport holders when entering Canada and re-entering the U.S.A!
ACP has partnered with Citizenship and Immigration Canada to assist visitors in obtaining the documents necessary for travel.
Non-US citizens visiting Canada may also require a visa (TRV) except citizens of countries where an exception has been granted. Visas may also be required for non-US passport holders to re-enter the USA.

New ESTA Requirements
Effective January 12, 2009, all travelers entering the United States (by air or sea) from one of the 35 countries under the Visa Waiver Program are required to hold a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA). Recently, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) transitioned to an enforced compliance of the ESTA for the Visa Waiver Program travelers. U.S.-bound travelers are recommended to apply for an ESTA at least 72 hours prior to departure. For more information, please visit www.esta.us.
