College members elected to AMA office
The following ACP-ASIM members were elected to office at the AMA's July meeting (members are listed in alphabetical order):
James L. Borland Jr., MACP, was elected to serve as the chair of the AMA council on medical education.
Yank D. Coble Jr., MACP, will serve as president-elect of the AMA.
Willarda V. Edwards, ACP-ASIM Member, and Jennifer E. Trottman, ACP-ASIM Member, will serve on the select investigative committee.
Sandra Adamson Fryhofer, MACP, was appointed to the committee charged with investigating allegations against the AMA contained in a lawsuit filed by E. Ratcliffe Anderson, MD, former AMA chief executive officer and senior executive vice president.
Mark A. Levine, FACP, was elected to a seven-year term as a member of the AMA's council on ethical and judicial affairs.
Eric Milbrandt, ACP-ASIM Associate, will serve as the AMA's vice-chair of the governing council for the resident and fellow section.
Carl A. Sirio, FACP, was elected to the council on medical education.
Peter Y. Watson, ACP-ASIM Associate, was elected to the resident position on the AMA's board of trustees.
