Julian Zelingher, ACP Associate, a fellow in clinical computing at Boston's Center for Clinical Computing, suggests these Web sites:
- A site sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and the National Library of Medicine allows physicians to read NIH practice guidelines and then take a multiple-choice quiz for CME credits.

- For information--and CME credits--about lead poisoning, physicians can turn to the Web site sponsored by the University of Chicago, the U.S. Public Health Service and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry. Users work through a case study, a discussion of high-risk groups for lead toxicity and exposure standards. A multiple-choice test with CME credits is available.

- For practitioners interested in a more interactive approach, the Marshall University Interactive Patient Web site provides users with a patient history, lab results, physical findings and the chance to ask questions and perform various exams.
