Do you know what a PIM is? Are you trying to decide which PIM to do? Have you already entered data into a PIM but don’t know what to do now that you have seen your data? If you find yourself asking these questions, the 1-day ACP Part 4 MOC - Practice Improvement Module (PIM) Course is for you.

ACP will show you how to get the most out of your performance improvement requirement for MOC. Faculty with longstanding experience in ACP’s practice-based quality improvement programs, who have actually experienced MOC first hand, will give you the skills, tools, and know-how you need to be successful in completing the PIM.

.

What is a PIM?

A PIM is a Web-based self-evaluation tool that guides physicians through collecting data from their own practice, using chart reviews, patient surveys and a practice system survey to create a multi-dimensional practice performance assessment. The goal of the PIM is to improve the quality of patient care by providing physicians with a way to apply quality measurement to their practices, and use the resulting data to take actions to improve care.

.

How does it work?

Detailed performance data, compiled and reported on by the ABIM, serve as the basis for selecting areas of improvement and developing an improvement plan. After implementing and testing the improvement plan, physicians report the impact of the implemented changes to ABIM. Physicians who complete the entire PIM process earn 20 out of the required 100 self-evaluation points needed to maintain their certificate. Completion of this course is worth 7 CME credits.

Come hear how to interpret your data, design and implement a quality improvement plan that addresses your deficiencies, and get the coaching you need to hit the ground running as soon as you get back to your practice.
