FCIM Curriculum Guide - Help

How to Use the FCIM Curriculum Guide

Note: In order for functionality to work correctly, you will need to enable macros. If you get the error: The Macros in This Project Are Disabled, then you should enable macros through the following steps:

1. If the FCIMGuide2.xls file is open, close it.

2. On the Tools menu, point to Macro and click Security.

3. In the Security dialog box, click the Security Level tab.

4. Click Medium and then click OK.

5. Open FCIMGuide2.xls. When prompted whether to enable or disable macros, click Enable Macros.

To Begin

Either click on a button to use the Interactive Tables (see below) or select a document from the Contents by clicking on a title. Note: You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these documents (see below).

Using the Interactive Tables

1. Select either the appropriate tab (Integrative Disciplines or Clinical Competencies), or push the respective button on the Main Menu.

2. Place your mouse cursor in the field in which you wish to add information and select the appropriate option. If the field just holds a checkmark, click in the field to mark it with an X. Clicking on another field or elsewhere on the page and then clicking the field again will remove the X. Larger fields can hold dates or notes, so simply type the date or note.

Using Custom Reports

Go to the Reports page by either clicking the Custom Reports button from the Main Menu or by selecting the Reports tab at the bottom of the page. To select a collection of columns and competencies, click the appropriate button and select from the pull-down menus. Close the window and print the result using the print button at the top left.

Using the Find Feature

To search for a specific word or phrase in the Integrative Disciplines and Clinical Competencies tables, click on the Find button. In the pop-up form, type the word or phrase for which you would like to search into the text field and click on the Find Next button. The first row that contains the word you are searching for will appear. Click the Find Next button again to move to the next row containing the search word or phrase. If no more rows contain the word or phrase, the row that contains the first occurrence of the word or phrase will appear again.

Using the Pulldown Menus

Click on the List of Integrative Disciplines button or the List of Clinical Competencies button to open up a form with a pulldown menu. Click on the pulldown menu to view a listing of all the subsections within the table. Scroll down to the subsection you want to view and click on it. The subsection you clicked on will appear.
