Governor Election Results

Thank you all for voting in our Chapter Governor Election last fall. As you know, we had two outstanding candidates, George W. Garriss, III and Kenneth E. Olive. The Chapter would like to acknowledge and thank them both for their enthusiastic work on behalf of our Chapter over the years.

I am happy to announce that Kenneth E. Olive, MD, FACP was selected to be your next Governor. Our newly elected Governor-elect Designee will start his four-year term as Governor in the Spring of 2009 and will serve as Governor-elect from May 2008 until then, as a period of training. As Governor, Dr. Olive serves as the official representative of the College for the Tennessee Chapter, providing a link between members at the local level and leadership at the national level. The Governor has a variety of responsibilities at both levels.
