Following the March/April issue, ACP Journal Club will become a regular feature in Annals of Internal Medicine and no longer be an independent publication. It will appear once each month in Annals starting with the May 20, 2008 issue.
ACP members and non-member subscribers will continue to receive summaries of only the most important articles from over 200 peer-reviewed medical journals. But they will receive them on a monthly basis in Annals of Internal Medicine rather than the bi-monthly basis currently provided by the separate ACP Journal Club publication.
The new Journal Club feature in Annals of Internal Medicine will offer busy practicing physicians the evidence based clinical information necessary to practice good medicine:
- Coverage will include internal medicine and its subspecialties and family medicine.
- Strict selection criteria will ensure that physicians receive only clinically relevant information.
- Easy-to-read abstracts will facilitate scanning and digesting important information.
- Perspective-lending follow-up commentaries by clinical experts will provide context, limitations, and clinical applications.
SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION: ACP dues-paying members will continue to receive every issue of Annals of Internal Medicine and ACP Journal Club until the change and then receive all Annals of Internal Medicine issues including those containing the new Journal Club feature.
New non-member subscribers may purchase subscriptions which will include separate Annals of Internal Medicine and ACP Journal Club issues until the change and then all Annals of Internal Medicine issues including those containing the new Journal Club feature.
For the remainder of their subscription terms, current non-member subscribers will receive their separate ACP Journal Club issues through the March/April edition and then begin receiving Annals of Internal Medicine issues including those containing the Journal Club feature. We will only accept renewals for subscriptions of Annals of Internal Medicine with the new Journal Club feature.
