Ballot initiatives in AZ, CO, and NE
Dear Chapter Health and Public Policy Leaders:
FYI, there are ballot initiatives in Arizona, Colorado and Nebraska, misleadingly called the "Civil Rights Initiatives," that will be voted on in the upcoming November elections. These ballot initiatives may affect physician workforce and access to care. Attached is relevant ACP policy
, from our 2003 position paper, "Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Health Care" and a Health Professionals for Diversity Coalition Issue Brief
on the initiatives.
