Medicare Payments for 2008
Congress has passed legislation to provide a six-month reprieve from a scheduled 10.1% cut in Medicare payments that would have occurred on January 1, 2008, caused by the flawed Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) formula, the mechanism used to determine the annual update to Medicare payments. President Bush is expected to sign the bill into law.
This site will be updated continually as more news becomes available, so please check it regularly for up-to-date information on how Congressional action and other changes affect payments you receive from Medicare beginning January 1.
