This reception is open to all international attendees and their guests, as well as other attendees who are interested in meeting with leaders from ACP and internal medicine societies from around the world. Light hors d' oeuvres will be served.
International Panel
The Global Burden of the Migration of Physicians
Time and Location To Be Determined
The panel will discuss how the migration of physicians is affecting global health using an international faculty. The course will cover immigration health issues, movement of health care professionals, and issues with the brain drain of physicians from developing countries. The disease implications caused by the movement of people will also be discussed.
The Historical Contributions of India to Modern Medicine
Time and Location To Be Determined
This Meet the Professor course will discuss the historical contributions of India to Western Medicine. It will combine not only history, much of which is little known to many physicians, as well as a fascinating medical/historical quiz.
This workshop is the second in a planned multi-year series presented under the sponsorship of the International Council, on "Contributions of Multiple Global Cultures to Modern Medicine".
