Description: Approximately $700
billion of our health care dollars are spent on
unnecessary procedures or testing. As professionals we
have a responsibility to use our technology
appropriately for the improvement of our patients health
and outcomes as well as the impact these have on our
communities. The American College of Physicians
along with ABIM and 9 other professional organizations
are participating in the Choosing Wisely
initiative. This presentation will look at the
current state of our costs as well as look at case based
areas where appropriate testing will be discussed. There
will be time for interactive discussion and questions as
well.
