Learning Objectives for ACP Venezuela Chapter
Annual Meeting:

  1. To give appropriate information to participants for improving their knowledge and clinical abilities in the most common diseases in Internal Medicine (Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment).
  2. To supply participants the advances in Internal Medicine, in relation to the contributions of scientific research.
  3. To provide information about the new technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of different pathologies in Internal Medicine and Subspecialties.
  4. To improve the appropriated use of the above mentioned technologies, taking into account the requirement of using them according to the clinical diagnosis.
  5. To give an “Up to date” information in several areas of Internal Medicine and Subspecialties.
  6. To provide knowledge about the new goals of Genetic and Molecular Biology applied to the practice of Internal Medicine and the comprehension of the values of medical ethics, behavioral science, continuous quality improvement, medical information and preventive medicine.
  7. To inform the participants about the missions and goals of the American College of Physicians and the influence of this Society in the improvement of the quality of medical care.
  8. To inform about the functions of the Internists in the National Health System, especially in Venezuela.
