Internal Medicine 2009 Highlights

Congratulations to Jeffrey P. Harris, MD, MACP, Immediate Past President of ACP. of Millwood, ho was awarded ACP Mastership during Convocation at Internal Medicine 2009 in Philadelphia. Congratulations also to Jack M. Gwaltney Jr., MD, FACP, of Charlottesville, who was awarded the "Alvan R. Feinstein Memorial Award for Major Contribution to Patient Care in the Field of Clinical Epidemiology" during the Convocation ceremony.

Kudos to Dana C. Mueller of Charlottesville, who assumed the role of Central Atlantic Region Representative of ACP's national Council of Student Members at the close of Internal Medicine 2009.

We were also honored to have 11 Chapter Members represent our Chapter for the Associate and Medical Student Abstract Competition held during Internal Medicine 2009 in Philadelphia.
