Vision Statement
These are some things that I would emphasize in the next 5 years:
- Add private practice internists to the ACP Utah Chapter leadership. Kevin Johnson, M.D. and Gregory Stevens, M.D. are valued members of our leadership.
- Encourage private practice internists and women to run for Governor of our Chapter. All 15 prior Chapter Governors were men; I think #s 1-7,10 were private practice, #s 8,9,11-15 University faculty.
- Continue to involve our Chapter leadership in the Public Policy area, including an annual visit with Utah’s members of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate. Molly Mooers, M.D. does this very well.
- Encourage I.M. Fellows to participate in our Annual Poster and Clinical Vignette Competitions.
- Continue to encourage our Associates to run for national ACP offices. Landon E. Dixon, MSIV Utah, is national Chairman of ACP Student Members, and participates with the national Board of Regents.
