Awards at the 2009 SD/WY Chapter Meeting
The following physicians won awards at the SD/WY Chapter Meeting that was held September 17-18, 2009, at the Golden Hills Resort, Lead, South Dakota:

Dr. Maska will submit her abstract to the National abstract competition in Ontario, Canada, April, 2010.
The National Association of Medical Communicators (NAMC) announced this week that the recipient of their annual Award of Excellence went to:
On Call Television of SD Public Broadcasting
Richard P. Holm, MD, Medical Editor, and Tami Watson, Producer.
The NAMC Award for Excellence was created to acknowledge excellence in broadcast health communications. The award is presented to the NAMC member who most successfully combines instructional design, production and performance to create a video program that positively impacts public health.
The Award for Excellence was followed by the NAMC Health Communications Achievement Award, which was presented to Sanjay Gupta MD, Chief Medical Correspondent for CNN.
