Congratulations to our Newest Master!
Kudos to T. Andrew Albritton, who will be awarded Mastership of the College at the Convocation ceremony during ACP Internal Medicine 2013 in San Francisco. To be considered for Mastership, the candidate must have made a notable contribution to medicine. This includes but is not limited to teaching, outstanding work in clinical medicine (research or practice), contributions to preventive medicine, improvements in the delivery of health care, or contributions to medical literature.
2012 Internal Medicine Abstract Winner
We were honored to have 6 chapter members represent our chapter for the Associate and Medical Student Abstract Competitions held during Internal Medicine 2012. Special congratulations to the following SC chapter member who came away a winner!
- Satara Brown from the Medical University of the South Carolina College of Medicine in Charleston was selected to give an oral presentation in the Medical Student Basic Research category for the abstract, Connexin 40 Remodeling In Purkinje Cardiomyocytes Post-myocardial Infarction.
