Rhode Island Chapter Receives 2012 Chapter Excellence Award
The award recognizes chapters which successfully meet the standards for managing a chapter. In order to achieve the Chapter Excellence Award, chapters must meet all basic criteria and seven optional criteria. Criteria include such activities as formulating an effective Governor’s Council and committees, communicating frequently with membership, providing educational opportunities, recruiting and advancing members and celebrating membership through local awards.

PCPAC – Director of Rhode Island Department of Health Dr. Michael Fine’s Primary Care Physician Advisory Council, provides advice for the Director from the primary care community on issues facing HEALTH. Primary representative Diane Seidlecki, alternative representative Tom Bledsoe

Currentcare Educational Video
To help Rhode Island consumers and health care providers better understand the tremendous benefits of electronic health information exchange and enrolling in currentcare, currentcare has produced a new educational video.
Production of the currentcare educational video was funded by a Medicaid Transformation Grant from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid in cooperation with the Rhode Island Department of Human Services and the Rhode Island Department of Health. currentcare, Rhode Island's health information exchange, is a service of the Rhode Island Quality Institute.
