2014 Leadership Day on Capitol Hill

Candidates sought for Leadership Day Delegation, May 21-22, 2014

The 22nd annual Leadership Day on Capitol Hill will be held on May 21-22, 2014 in Washington DC. Leadership Day enables you to represent the American College of Physicians and increase its presence on Capitol Hill to bring our issues and concerns to U.S. lawmakers.

This two-day event provides ACP members with advocacy and media training, an update on the College's priority legislative issues; briefings from Members of Congress, Administration officials, and key Capitol Hill staffers; and an opportunity to meet with our Pennsylvania Congressional delegation. A special briefing for residents and medical students may also be provided.

ACP members of the Pennsylvania Chapter who are interested in participating in Leadership Day 2014 should contact Dr. Evan Pollack. Dr. Pollack is the chair of the PA delegation. Please contact him at jd@pa-acp.org. and indicate your interest to be included in the 2014 PA delegation. Please reply promptly but no later than by February 13. All submissions will receive a follow-up response. Last year 23 members participated in Leadership Day.

This year the PA Chapter is able to reimburse travel and hotel expenses for the delegates. Selection preference may be given to members who have developed a relationship with a PA Congressman or Congresswoman.
