Dear fellow Internist,
It is with great sadness that I communicate to you the passing of one of our great Oklahoma Internists. Bill Hughes died earlier this month in OKC.
He was a Governor of our College Chapter between 1983 and 1987. Before and after those dates, he held many other medical leadership positions, including serving on a National ACP Committee after his ACP Governorship.
He was a personal friend, a mentor, and a teacher to me, and I am sure, to many others in our Chapter.
He will be missed, but I intend to commemorate him in a special way that will make him honored and appreciated for many years to come.
